Clerking
High quality clerking is recognised as an essential ingredient of effective governance. For that reason DCSF has recently been considering enhancing the role of clerks. GLM now offers colleagues in other authorities a comprehensive package of support to establish a clerking service in your own authority.

Updated version of the Governor Mark Standards now available.
GLM is working with partner organisations to review The Standards in line with the new OFSTED framework and the education bill (The Importance of Teaching).
The current standards document is still relevant and can be used as the basis for self evaluation or accreditation.
